Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Having Spotting Along With Negative UPT?
I have been on depo for 7-8 years. I have never missed a shot. December 4th I got my quarterly injection. December 8th I had unprotected sex. Last Friday I woke up spotting and it lasted only a couple hours. Over the weekend I ran 2 5k races, and after each one I had a light brown creamy discharge but that was all. Today I went to the bathroom, I ve been having a lot of gas and thought I had to poo, but nothing except a huge glob of brown jelly like discharge came out of my vagina. I ve been having slight cramping for several days. I ve taken 2 home pregnancy tests and they were both negative, but is it too early to test accurately? Is it possible I could be pregnant?
Hi, I think it's very rare to get pregnant on depo. As your test is also negative, sometimes spotting occurs as a side effect of depo. So, don't worry. Sometimes it can happen due to infections. so get yourself evaluated by a gynecologist. you may need a course of antibiotics. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any other query I will be happy to help. Regards Dr khushboo
